The experience will begin with 15 minutes of BREATHING EXERCISES, followed by BREATH-TO-MOVEMENT KRIYAS, leading into a 30-40 minute SOUND BATH. CHAKRAS are the main energy centers of the body, and sound healing helps to balance and align our CHAKRAS. The deeply powerful vibrations of  CRYSTAL SINGING BOWLS will help attune the CHAKRA energy centers, opening, cleansing,  and unlocking blocked energy. The bowls bring the energy into the right frequency and then divide that over the entire body to keep it healthy and vital. Each participant will receive premium crystals during the SOUND BATH to amplify the experience, as well as a supercharged token to take home.

Flow into Autumn with Dylan Thomas

The Fall Equinox marks the end of Summer’s bustling energy; Autumn brings an invitation toward balance, reflection, and pruning away what no longer serves. In this flow-based workshop designed to welcome Autumn, we will begin with a short meditation and set intentions for the new season. Then, we will move through an extended 75-minute creative vinyasa practice, beginning with grounding shapes and gradually moving toward energizing standing poses, twists, and options for exploration and play. Practice will end with an extended savasana and meditation, with opportunities after practice for reflection and group discussion.

This all-levels practice is appropriate for any practitioner who is excited to move and breathe with intention and to begin the fall season with fresh energy!

Personal Progression Practice with Gilbert Vanlenzuela

The Personal Progression Practice is for students who are looking to advance their physical yoga practice. I designed this program to incorporate elements I wish I’d have learned earlier into my personal practice (arm balances, binds, jump backs, inversions, options for hip openers, savasana, etc.). We will cover the basics and grow from a stronger foundation. We will flow, work on drills to open and strengthen our bodies, and get some play time and one on one direction. The group will be intimate and interactive. Come with questions you’ve been meaning to ask about poses you’ve been unsure of how they are even possible, leave with an understanding of the process and confidence in your practice.

Cost: $75/ per class (limited to 6 people) / Members 15% off
When: 9:30 am – 11:00 am Sundays

40 Days to Personal Revolution with Mason Howell

Program description:
The 40 Days to Personal Revolution program is a powerful tool to create massive positive transformation in any area of life that you choose to focus on. This program is perfect for people who are curious about beginning a yoga practice, the seasoned practitioner who wants to level up as a student, or the teacher who needs to shake up life and recommit to their own greatness. It takes the nervous system 40 days to hardwire the neural pathways into the brain for new habits. The 40 Days to Personal Revolution program uses daily asana practice, daily meditation, time tested nutritional practices and excavating self-inquiry questions to break old habits and create powerful new habits.

The Program Starts April 10th and will last 40 days. The program will have weekly meetings on Sunday with Mason at 2:00pm. This will prepare and gear you up for the week ahead!

Mason’s WHY for Leading
The first time I took the 40 Days to Personal Revolution program as a student was a major turning point for me in life. This was the program that gave me access to the tools that I needed to make the step from just being a student to wanting to be a teacher. This program was the springboard for me to go from learned helplessness to living in my personal power. I went from wanting to give up on life to living with intense purpose and passion. I experienced such a profound personal transformation through this program that the question has become not, “why do I want to lead it?,” but rather, “who would I be if I did not share what I know it has to offer?”

Meeting days/times:
Sundays @ 2:00pm-3:30pm starting April 10th
Meeting #1 = Sunday, April 10th
Meeting #2 = Monday, April 18th 6:30pm ( change due to Easter)
Meeting #3 = Sunday, April 24th

The Anatomy of Restorative Yoga with Sarah Blizzard & Dawn Griffith

Ever wonder what is actually going on in your yoga practice? We feel different after our practice but do we really know what is actually happening in our bodies? Sarah and Dawn will take you through a restorative yoga practice and give a breakdown of how, why and where different parts of the body can benefit, using anatomy as our foundation. Restorative yoga is a style of yoga using props to support the body, allowing the mind and body to fully relax and restore. With this workshop we get to experience the science behind the poses. As we explore the breath and create the space to slow down, we will give our nervous system the chance to move into the parasympathetic function.  This is often referred to as the rest and digest part of our nervous system.  Moving from the sympathetic to parasympathetic systems can begin with simply slowing down the breath. You will leave this workshop with a new understanding of what yoga does for the body. This workshop is for all levels and anyone with a curiosity for anatomy.

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a yoga mat as well as a journal to take notes. All other props will be provided.

Creating Certainty in 2022 with Emily Wikel

Creating Certainty in 2022 with Emily Wikel

This workshop will serve those that love setting intentions...yet struggle to bring them to life. A big piece with intention setting is making sure we take the time to really feel them in the body (so we don't bypass all the feelings & emotions that come with stepping into our power). This allows people to lead their life by their body signals (which supports us in actually living in alignment with a healthy mind, body, spirit connection!) This will serve those who want to start 2022 off intentionally and activate them with the energy they want to bring in!

Students will explore what they want to call in with 2022 and experience what that feels like in their body. They will leave knowing how to create it tangibly in their life and with their relationships!

We will spend time in meditation, journaling, sharing and finishing in breathwork!

Emily is an Intuitive Healer and Embodiment Guide and has been teaching at Shakti Power Yoga for about 2.5 years. She is 500HR certified and trained in breathwork facilitation and energy work. Ever since she was little, she was a seeker of the unseen. She spent a majority of her childhood feeling everything all the time, and was left in the experience of being misunderstood often. She always had the call to dive deep in self-exploration and began more training around belief work in January 2016, falling in love with the alchemy of the work she experienced not only in herself, but also in those around her. She now works with individuals to open their heart, clear the blocks, and find their way back to themselves. Their ultimate truth. She guides her clients to the remembrance of their inherent power as a human, as an infinite creator. She serves in a way that’s both accessible and boundless. Her mission is to guide others in believing that they can do the impossible - that even the hardest, deepest suffering can be transmuted into light.

  • Yoga mat

  • Blanket for breath work

  • Journal and pen

Gratitude Expands Everything Breathwork

This workshop will serve students who are curious about the power of gratitude. Gratitude expands EVERYTHING. It creates space for us to receive all we deeply desire. It turns who you are and what you have into enough. You will leave feeling worthy and empowered!

On some level, at some point in our life, we've felt unworthy... In this workshop, we will explore and experience the embodiment of how to shift this into truly loving our authentic self. Our mission here as humans is to expand and grow AND the Universe wants to bring us just that! Through this workshop, you will access where you may not be receiving in your life, how to clear the blocks, and really anchor in the power and expansion of gratitude. We will seal in the transformation with breathwork that will leave you with radical self love and compassion!

We will spend time in meditation, journaling, sharing and finish in breathwork!

Shakti 9 Year Anniversary Party

October 1st marks the 9 year anniversary for Shakti! We are filled with gratitude as we take the time to reflect on the last 9 years. We opened Shakti with a desire to share the yoga practice that changed our lives and build a space where people could feel seen, heard and connect with others. We have seen that come into fruition and because of you it’s better than we could have ever imagined. Your commitment to your health, well being and the way you care for each other is why Shakti continues to be a place where we can all gather at the studio and online and practice what we love!

Shakti has been one the greatest gifts of our lives and we thank each of you for your contribution to this community and look forward to many more years of practicing and growing together!

To celebrate and thank you for practicing at Shakti we have free class offerings and special events. We also have a BIG OUTDOOR CELEBRATION on OCTOBER 1st. We will have food, drinks, music, raffle giveaways, new retail and probably some fun and maybe dancing who knows!!
