Studio Etiquette
Our studio etiquette to ensure everyone gets the most out of their experience. We hope this can be a place where you feel loved, safe and capable of growing with the support of people around you.
Arrive at least 5 -10 minutes before class. If you are new to Shakti please arrive at least 10 minutes before so we can show you around
Check in at the front desk when you arrive
Leave shoes and silenced cell phones outside of the yoga room
Keep all personal items outside the yoga room; please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items
Stay through savasana at the end of class. It is one of the most important elements of your practice and so nice after your hard work on the mat
Leave your space the way you found it; wipe up your sweat – it gets slippery. There are disinfectant wipes available for blocks and mats
No gum or glass in the studio
Ensure all water containers must be sealed or have a lid
Practice saucha (proper hygiene); a clean yogi is a happy yogi
Be mindful of where you park – there is free parking behind the studio and on the street. There is one hour free in the gravel lot through premier parking.
Focus on your own body and your own practice; comparison is the thief of joy
Be mindful of your time in the studio; our doors are open 15 minutes before and after class
Showers and changing rooms are open to all students before and after class
