Whether you've dedicated months to trying handstands the same way and now want to learn more or you’ve played with balancing on your hands but haven't yet found consistency, this workshop will up level your handstand game.
Jessie and Sarah will guide you through the smart, safe process of building this exhilarating skill. In these two hours, we will dive into a great variety of entrances, exits, and holds of handstands. We will discuss the steps toward standing on your hands, including wrist warm-ups and bandhas, then apply them on your mat. This will include a range of options (stepping vs. hopping vs. floating), drills, and incorporating handstands into your asana practice. Jessie and Sarah will offer specific attention to sustainable and powerful wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and foot positioning as well as core and breath engagement.
Each participant will receive tailor-made cues and feedback on their handstand work in order to experience greater joy and freedom, fearlessness and control in flying upside-down.
