Teens need yoga too!
This summer, Shakti is introducing Yoga for Teens.
This class series is inspired by our desire to make a positive impact in the lives of teens, and give them a safe and healthy place to connect with themselves and others in their community.
In these classes, teens will interact with each other, learn breathing techniques for focus, and be introduced to poses that inspire as sense of freedom and peacefulness.
They will learn challenging poses that encourage concentration and build strength, flowing sequences that improve body awareness, and have time for rest and relaxation.
No experience is necessary to participate.
* Classes will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays Noon - 1:00pm
A signed waiver from an adult will be necessary before participating. Please sign up online to reserve a space.

All classes taught by certified yoga instructor Parker McClellan
Parker's life has been transformed by the benefits of yoga, and in March of 2016 she received her 200 hr certification to share those benefits with others. Currently, Parker teaches a class through Small World Yoga at McGavock High School, where she works full time as a World History teacher. She is very excited to merge her passion for empowering young people with her love of yoga. When she isn't in the classroom or on the mat, Parker likes to read, cook, and hang with her cats, Lola and Louise.
