From these teachings we will develop an authentic and practical way to implement these teachings into our lives. About Jess:

Desikachar says, “If you want to know whether your yoga practice is working don’t look to see if you are just able to sweat more in a class, or do another complicated pose, look to your life – look at your relationship with your emotions, psyche and that of your loved ones.”

Jess has been practicing yoga and mindfulness for 6.5 years. She has been trained in 200 hours of power yoga, 300 hours of the foundations of yoga therapy and 150 hours of Hatha yoga. She studies mindfulness and has attended an intensive, silent meditation sitting with Tara Brach. In addition to this she practices as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and facilitates groups/provides therapy to assist in breaking through habitual patterns that keep individuals “stuck”. She practices yoga and mindfulness daily. These practices have changed her life in many realms. Through the help of these practices she has healed from chronic knee pain and PTSD. Yoga and mindfulness continue to bring her freedom and love to her life.
